Happy Birthday Rocky!

My very dear friend, Rocky, is celebrating her birthday this month. 

I recently bought several dies and was so anxious to use them!

So, I decided to make Rocky TWO Birthday Cards!
(Photo of the two cards together is at the very end of this post).

This 1st one is my favorite!

It was so much fun to create!

First I die cut a bunch of flora from my new Tim Holtz dies!

These were all cut using 140 lb. weight watercolor paper.

Then I painted them with watercolor paints!

I picked out colorful cardstock to make the card. 
I embossed the minty-aqua one;

then adhered it along the edges to create a pocket.
I added some matching tassel ribbon along the bottom of the pocket.

The pocket I made became the 'vase' for the pretty flora!

Although simple, the 2nd card contains a special note inside
 letting Rocky know what she means to me.

Tim Holtz's Mixed Media #5 dies are soooo pretty!
I used the two flower ones.
I adhered navy cardstock to the backside so that the flowers could be seen.

I added a little Flower Soft to the flower centers.

A script chipboard "happy" word was inked in a very dark blue called "Night Sky"
