Lily Fair

I felt like coloring again, so I did!! 

I chose one of Kerby Rosanes artistic drawings 

and named it "Lily Fair" for obvious reasons. 

If you didn't already notice, 

I chose to use 3 colors for the Fair that's nestled in the beautiful lily flower.

Aqua, Pink & Yellow.

I felt it would make the Fair stand out more.

Then came the butterflies surrounding the flower.

I decided to color them in the same three colors that I chose for the Fair.

I'm back into coloring again!

I hope to continue with more.

Get Well Card for Lorna

 My good friend, Lorna, has been trying to overcome an illness 

for quite awhile, so I decided

to make her a quick CAS (clean & simple) get well card.

I was finally able to use my lovely edger die for the very first time!

It's perfect because Lorna LOVES hummingbirds!

I used solid colored cardstock;

then added elements from 49 and Market's 

Spectrum Gardenia collection.

This is the card fully opened.

Tutorial - 5-1/4" x 7-1/2" Envelope

 Do you ever make 5" x 7" cards and by the time you've embellished with flowers, butterflies and other items, the card isn't able to properly fit inside a 

standard 5" x 7" envelope?

Plus the fact that a true 5x7 card won't fit into a 5x7 envelope

 because they are the same size!

The solution is to make your envelope slightly larger.

This has happened one too many times with me,

so I've come up with my own measurements and have put together this tutorial 

for myself and anyone else who may find it useful.

Miss Belle's 2023 Birthday Card

 I made a simple, yet elegant, birthday card

for my dear friend and "2nd Mom", Miss Belle, 

who is turning 87 this month.

She's truly a beautiful person 

and I'm very blessed to have her in my life.

I made her 5 x 7 card and slightly larger envelope

with 49 and Market's gorgeous Vintage Artistry Tranquility collection.

Two stunningly gorgeous and so detailed butterflies from ReneaBouquets 

added that special touch to the front of the card.

I printed the inside sentiment in French Script font

using one of the pretty 6 x 8 papers in this collection.

I also punched two corners for added interest.

Tiny baby pink bling gives some pretty, dainty sparkle!

friend's birthday cards for August, September & October?

I've been in a crafty mood lately.

I'm seriously considering doing a layout, 

but if I don't, it may be a bit before you see me.
