So Adorable - Galadrial at 2 months old

After recently scrapping a photo of Lucy at 5 weeks of age, I just had to scrap one of her gorgeous MaMa (our sweet Miss Gali) at a very young age too!
Galadrial was only 2 months old in this photo.....and she was (and still is) so adorable!

The colors and print in this beautiful Maja Design paper were my inspiration. I decorated the flower buds chippie to resemble hydrangea.  They are embossed with Lindy's Stamp Gang color Spring Leaf Chartreuse.

I generously sprayed the front and back sides of heavy weight watercolor paper.  One side with Prima Color Bloom Summer Sky and the other side with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst color Bachelor Button Blue, which is amazingly close to the color of Gali's eyes in the photo! Using a mini flower punch, scoring each petal, adding a pearl to the center of most of them, then randomly placing the two tones of blue flowers and layering some with foam dots for dimension, the make-shift hydrangeas came to life.

The mini script title letters are inked with ColorBox "Wild Hare".  The bottoms are touched with LSG Bachelor Button Blue.  Each letter was topped with Glossy Accents to give them some shine.  For pops of color, I placed a few butterflies from my old K&Company Susan Winget stash.

Cardstock in gray, baby blue and pastel green were punched and layered for the photo background papers.
A piece of cardboard under the gray piece raised it up for dimension.

I also added a punched dimensional piece I created with a heart in pastel green since the blue colors were so dominate on the layout.  I stamped the heart and heat embossed it in LSG Silver Moon Sapphire.

Just a little bit of stenciling for added texture; punching the sides of the layout
and adding some pearls completed this layout.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!  Lisa >^..^<

Almost Phyllis ~ Precious 5 week old Lucy

Most of you already know that I got Lucy and her MaMa from a breeder.  I was not allowed to actually meet Lucy in person until she was 14 weeks old, allowing time for necessary kitten health care.  In the meantime, while I was anxiously waiting for this big day to arrive, the breeder would email me photos of her.
This one still melts my heart!
Yes, at 5 weeks old, Lucy looked like Phyllis Diller!  LOL!

Just LOOK at Lucy's inquisitive little face!!! Her big beautiful round blue eyes are so full of curiosity and pure innocence.  Who wouldn't fall completely in love with her?

Birmans are born mostly pure white with 'fly-away' angel like hair.  As they mature, their markings deepen in color and the hair settles.   I'm so glad that I stayed with the name Lucy because it really fits her so well today.

The innocence in this tiny face needed something girly, so I layered two different types of lace. I recently bought the beautiful Prima flowers in the Tales of You and Me collection.  They are just perfect for this layout!

Just a little bit of stenciling and corner punching to the already gorgeous paper
and the rest is a simple design to showcase this little beauty.

Baby beads to spell her name:

Prima Stencil and Finnabair White Crackle colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang mica powder "Salt Water Taffy".

Happy Together

Here is another layout featuring my daughter and her husband.  They took a selfie in September 2015 at the Mötley Crüe/Alice Cooper concert : )  Every time I look at photos of Brianne and John, I always think to myself how very happy they look together...

I'm a 'purpleholic' so this GORGEOUS Blue Fern Studios "Timeless" paper collection with its plum tones really grabs me!

I used one of the 'Calling Cards' from the collection to mount the photo.  The very bottom layer is from the backside of the Calling Cards page.  I love the rich brown-plum!

I incorporated some bronze colored metal pieces into the design, along with beautiful flowers : )

I stamped on both sides of the photo with the Blue Fern Studios "Essential Textures" brick wall.  I chose to heat emboss with Blue Fern Studios Imagine Ink "Oatmeal" for a subtle look.  I LOVE it, LOVE it, LOVE it!

Want2Scrap chipboard words were used for the title and inked in a beautiful Raisin colored pigment ink.

The late 60's song by the Turtles "Happy Together", with all of its lyrics and music, would not quit playing in my head so I had to play it from YouTube! LOL   I love this happy song.  So, I included some of the lyrics on the layout!  I chose these words from the song because they are so fitting of Brianne and John.

The printing on this paper is so stunning that it well deserves to be part of the whole design, which is why I decided to not punch or distress the edges.  The edges of the layout are framed with printed white lace, so I simply added bronze colored metal filigree corner pieces as accents.

Oh how wonderfully FUN it was creating this layout!
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look!
Have a wonderful weekend!  Lisa : )
