2020 Favorite Pencil Colorings

This year, I developed a love for pencil coloring.
It all began during my evacuation from Hurricane Laura in late August 2020.
This new found love continues....even today.

So, I'm going to pick out my most favorites for 2020!
I do quite a lot of coloring, so I'll try to really limit myself on my selections.

Here is the link for all of my pencil colorings,
if you are interested in seeing more or
simply click on the subtitle above "Pencil Colorings".

Here are my selections in alpha order by
animal/insect/amphibian:

And last, but not least, my favorite from Heather Land's
"Fucking Adorable Critters with Foul Mouths"
adult coloring book!

Thanks for viewing!

2020 Favorite Creations

2020 is quickly coming to a close, so it's time to pick out
my favorite creations for the year.
I've chosen 12.

Here they are in alphabetical order by title, each with a link to the original post.

Thanks for dropping in to see my favorite picks for this dreadful year of 2020!
I'm very grateful that I was able to create,
even during the toughest of times.
Art, in any form, is a wonderful way to 'get away from it all'.

Have a blessed 2021!
Stay safe & healthy!

Donation Card-Tags for the Elderly

This post is about a wonderfully thoughtful & giving person
whose name is Cheryl.
Many times she's posted on FaceBook
about her volunteer work.
She sets an excellent example with her dedication.

Recently, she asked if anyone could make cards to be included with meals that will be delivered to the elderly the day after Christmas.

I came up with an idea of a "card-tag"....
something that I could make quickly.

They are in the mail and scheduled to arrive
in Cheryl's hands on Christmas Eve....
fingers crossed!

This is the sentiment on each.

With leftover pieces I had from the
Maja Design paper collection "Holiday in the Alps";
along with coordinating ribbons,
I was able to make 47 card-tags!

I call them card-tags because although they each have
ribbons looped through a punched hole at the top,
all are blank on the backside,
allowing a place to sign if the delivery volunteer wishes to.

What a wonderful opportunity of giving for our beloved elderly community!
Thank you and blessings to Cheryl and all of the volunteers around our country who dedicate their time to help others.

Have a blessed Christmas
and may we ALL
have a better year in 2021!

Anniversary Card for Brianne & John

I made a simple Anniversary card for my daughter & her husband
using the gorgeous new 49 and Market collection
Vintage Artistry in Wedgewood.

The rich blue and gold is very pretty!
I printed & then die cut the sentiment.
Prills are added to the printed flower centers & a few wishing bubbles.

I used a couples of rub-ons from this stunning collection
as decoration for the inside of the card.

Thanks for viewing my card.
Very HAPPY Anniversary, today, December 12th,
to my dear daughter and her wonderful husband.
May you have many, many more years ahead!
Have a great day,
Lisa

Products used:

49 and Market - Vintage Artistry - "Wedgewood" collection
"Revel"

Layered Embellishment Set

Rub-Ons

US Artquest prills - "Heart of Gold"

Spellbinders die - "Antique Tags One"

2020 Christmas Cards

For my 2020 Christmas cards, I chose the gorgeous

I created two styles....

First & favorite is the Old World Santa
in beautiful cranberry, beige & brown.
He has the gentlest eyes!!!!

The inside sentiment is computer printed
in a coordinating cranberry-burgundy color,
using the stunning font called "Respective".

This card is made from the page named "Santa Claus".
It's absolutely amazing how perfectly it comes together
when cut, scored and folded into 5" x 7" size.

The front of the card is layered with a distressed
Maja Design solid Cranberry paper;
followed by the page "Winter Ephemera"
card cut-out of Santa on adhesive foam sheet.

Then came the gesso splatter,
to mimic falling snow.

Impression Obsession's Poinsettia dies are the absolute perfect size for cards!
Fully put together, they measure 1-1/2" in diameter.
As you can see,
I used the same fabulous plaid paper as the main card
and also Maja Design solid cardstock "Pine Cone".
4mm Brown beads are hot glued in the center.

Here are the products used for the Santa card:

Maja Design - Holiday in the Alps & Monochrome papers
"Santa Claus"

"Ephemera"

Shade of the Alps
"Cranberry"

Impression Obsession die
"Poinsettias"

Now the other card I created really speaks 'magical' for sure!!!
I just LOVE these blues & browns together!
This page is Maja Design's "Winter Night".

Following the same steps as the Santa card,
I began by printing the inside sentiment in Navy Blue color.

This page folds perfectly for a 5 x 7 size.

Layering is with the Maja Design distressed card stock color "Frost";
Maja Design "Winter Ephemera" deer card cut-out on adhesive foam sheet;
and lastly, gesso is splattered to mimic falling snow.

The last step is embellishing with a set of snowflake dies!!
Six are in the set and they are small enough for cards.

I used Recollections "Silver Shimmer" paper to cut them out.

with a renewed sense of love, fellowship & togetherness!
