You Make My Heart Sing

Here's another layout I created using the gorgeous
49 and Market Irrevocable Beauty collection.
This collection amazes me with all of its stunning papers!

The B&W photo was taken in July 1961.
I'm the 5 month old baby being held up high
by none other than my wonderful Dad,
who was just 34 years old.
Even though it's hard to make out the photo,
I know it well and it's very dear to me.

Leftover scraps, as well as perfectly sized frames,
from the Laser Cut Elements sheet,
became part of the background papers under the photo.
The words are perfect for my title!

There are cardboard pieces under these BG papers
& the photo itself to give some layering dimension.

I 'deckle' cut the white edge around the photo with my scissors
because the original photo is that way.
In the 1960's, this is how your photos were developed -
both with the deckled edge and the decorative black border,
which has "FOX CO" (the photo developer for our area) printed in two corners.

I also drew stitching with a white pigment pen to mimic
the printed stitching on the purple paper behind the photo.
I drew the stitching on either side of the photo
and along the left and right edges of the layout.

First, here's a close up to show you the deckle edge
around the photo and the hand drawn stitching.

This is the edge of the layout.

I created flower clusters using 49 and Market beautiful
white Daisies & huckleberry (purely delightful!) colored flowers.
Some of the laser cut elements from this collection are tucked in here & there.

I've also cut snippets of 49 and Market's white Lacey Trim
and tucked them in with the flower arrangements.

Look how gorgeous the new 49 and Market flowers are up close!

The Dusty Attic Floral Corners chipboard, heat embossed in Lindy's Gang EP color Imperial Crown Purple Gold
is cut up and tucked in where I desired.

Heart of Gold colored prills were added to these pieces,
as well as the centers of some of the printed daisies.
This is a color I will quickly run out of because it's just perfect
to use as a flower center color or for pollen!

Lastly, but as I always say.........
definitely NOT the least
lusciously GORGEOUS & always very-detailed
ReneaBouquets butterflies are strategically placed.
What would I do without Renea's beautiful pieces?!
They always add that needed 'extra'!!

Thanks for visiting.
Hope you are safe and well.
