Sunnin' - beautiful Bo Bunny papers & new Prima Decor2 stencil

I created another layout of my precious Sophie with yet another fave photo taken by my daughter.  Sophie loved to lie among the flowers in my front garden.  She enjoyed the sun and would close her little eyes.  I’ve always referred to this photo as “Sunnin’” because that is exactly what she was doing.  Sure miss her, but I’m also very grateful to have had her in my life for 13 years and to have countless wonderful memories of her!

For the main LO page, I decided on Bo Bunny’s “Primrose Cottage” from the Primrose collection.  This particular page is a light blush color, which matches very closely to the color of Sophie’s nose, plus the fact that it is so dainty…just like my Sophie was.  I then cut a 5” wide piece from Bo Bunny’s Madeleine collection (I'm totally in love! so gorgeous!) – page name “Madeleine Stripe” and glued it down on the main page.

I really love Martha Stewart’s punch “Cherish” that was used on the edges of the LO.  Also from the Bo Bunny Madeleine collection 6x6 paper pad I picked a blush toned rose print paper and punched the corners with a deco scallop. This worked perfectly under the photo.
The new Prima stencil “Décor 2” is stunning!  It will be a stencil that I use often.  I applied Tim Holtz ‘Antique Linen’ Distress ink to accentuate the stenciled areas.

I made the title by printing it on Bo Bunny paper; cut, fit & glued it behind the metal ornate plate; then topped with a heavy level coat of Glossy Accents.  I finger rubbed ‘Oldsilver’ wax on the plate to really accentuate the details!  I am so pleased with how it turned out!

Every flower on this LO is from Wild Orchid Crafts!  Aren’t they all so pretty?  I finger rubbed ‘Oldsilver’ wax on the beautiful garnet red rose.  I placed a Bo Bunny Madeleine sticker that says “Breathtakingly Beautiful” on a silver bottle cap.  The cherry blossom was recolored with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst spray “Black Orchid Silver”.
White lace from WalMart was recolored with LSG starburst "Gregarious Gray".  Came out great!
I used the Madeleine collection brad (clipped off the fasteners) to decorate the key and then entwined beautiful Wild Orchid Crafts rose buds.

I used Bo Bunny Madeleine collection paper "Grace" to die cut the butterflies.  I doubled the die cuts and used foam squares between the layers to give them dimension.  I hand made the wire antennae & used stick on nail heads for the bodies.
The butterfly cabochon is from Webster’s Pages.  The color matches so perfectly!

Thank you SO very much for the visit!  Have a wonderful day!  Lisa : )

  1. Gorgeous! I don't usually like bold striped papers because they seem to overwhelm the rest of the layout (when I try to use them anyway), but I love how it looks here. The embellishments picking up the different colours of the stripes makes it all work beautifully. Love the stencilling and the subtle punching on the papers and photo too.
