This year for Rocky's birthday,
I created her a 6" x 6-3/4" card
in the Autumn colors that she loves so much.
had the perfect page for this card.
Ironically, it's named "Friendship."
I was able to give this to Rocky in person!!
Her husband did some electrical repairs for me,
due to damage caused by Hurricane Laura
that directly hit Lake Charles, La where we live.
Before moving on with close up photos,
let me first show you the inside of the card,
where I've added a piece for the sentiment.
Tim Holtz's latticework die adds interest
and offers a pretty background for a flower arrangement.
The green used for the die, as well as the cranberry colored baby pearls coordinate so well with the printed image on the paper.
I chose golden toned wild roses & rosebuds,
adding pops of color with deep red (burgundy) sweetheart flowers
Now just how perfect is this prill mix?!
Golden Yellow, Golden Orange & Burgundy!!!
Unbelieveably PERFECT for this page
and very appropriately named "Gourd Jus"!
Jet black leafy die cuts were first adhered;
followed by the prills on top.
Using this color really added nice contrast
and also made it much easier to see the prills.
Having beautiful colors and gorgeous printed images,
with just a few embellishments, makes for a very nice card
for a very nice & special person in my life!
Lastly, I opted to make a 3/4" thick box-style envelope
to accommodate the height of the flowers on the card.

This interesting page is from the same BFS collection.
I chose it for two reasons:
#1 - You know how people refer to "She Sheds" & "Lady Lairs"?
Well, Rocky refers to her getaway room as her "Parlor"!
&
#2 - the colors coordinate perfectly with the card.
~~ "Lady Parlor" ~~
I decorated the top edge of the handmade envelope
with my most favorite Gold & Cream Clustered Bling on a Roll.
Thanks for dropping by to see Rocky's card!
Stay safe & healthy.

Wishing my extraordinarily, wonderful friend, Rocky,
a very HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY (early) Birthday!
