Psalm 89:1 Sing of the Lord's Great Love Forever

This is another coloring from the wonderful Psalms in Color coloring book!

I loved the tree, whose branches formed a heart.
I made the sweet birds into blue birds.
I chose to color the flowers in my favorite purple.
And make the words stand out in a gorgeous fuchsia pink!

Thanks again for your visit.
Have a blessed upcoming weekend!

Psalm 18:30 God's Way is Perfect

My dear sweet friend, Paulette, and her husband, who is my Godfather,
gifted me this wonderful coloring book three years ago for my 60th birthday.
"The Psalms in Color".

I've been so involved in coloring "unusuals" and mandalas,
that sometimes I forget about all the other coloring books I have!

This page reminded me of a mandala with its repeated patterns.
So, I chose to stick with a limited number of colors.
I chose:
Light Aqua
Aquamarine
Cobalt Turquoise
Canary Yellow
Sunburst Yellow
Yellowed Orange
Chartreuse
Apple Green
Process Red (it's a beautiful fuchsia pink)
Crimson Red

Following my personal 'rules' with mandalas,
I stuck with using the same colors throughout the page
for shapes that were alike or similar.
Minimizing the number of colors used
and then coloring similar shapes, like I've described above,
makes for a pretty page!

(Note: the camera picks up all the areas that your pencils missed.
But, overall, you can't really see these white areas until you photograph the page.
This happens to everyone who colors.)

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Fragile World - Mandrills - Vulnerable

Mandrills are found exclusively in African rainforests.
Their plight is extremely sad.

This is what's written in the coloring book about them
Mandrills are the largest of all monkey species,
and can only be found in the rainforests of equatorial Africa.
Although they are able to climb trees, and do sleep there,
they spend most of their time foraging on the forest floor
for fruits, insects and small amphibians.
They help to maintain the forest by dispersing seeds throughout their habitat.
Their survival is at threat due to human interference -
they are hunted as bushmeat and considered to be a delicacy.
Increasing agriculture and human settlements
has also resulted in deforestation, reducing their habitat.
==============================================
They are often confused with baboons, but believe it or not,
they are not related at all.
Mandrills are magnificently colored.
These are some of the internet images that I followed as a coloring guide.
Although they have lots of heavy white whiskers,
I opted to only do a few toned down ones.

Here's a few more close ups going all around the page...

I sure wish man would leave animals alone, like the mandrill.
It's heart breaking.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a very blessed day,
Lisa

Miss Belle's 2024 Birthday Card

Miss Belle is my sweet friend who is turning 88.
She lives in Florida and I haven't seen her for a number of years.
We do occasionally talk on the phone.
She enjoys receiving letters from me, so I will enclose one with her card.
I chose the new 49 and Market collection "Krafty Garden"
to make Miss Belle a 5" x 7" card.

Like the previous birthday cards I've made this year,
I included a "Happy Birthday" shaker dome.
I picked out yellow sequins and baby blue Prills to go inside.

I included some mini laser cut elements,
like this one that says "YOU ARE LOVED".
I also randomly adhered tiny baby blue rhinestones all over the front of the card.

The inside of the card has mini laser cut elements
and postage stamp washi tape.
I used an inverted scallop square die for the computer printed sentiment.
The papers are from the solids and 6x8 in the collection.

The cutest mini laser cut of daisies in a rolling planter
has foam tape underneath for a little dimension.

I always love the postage stamp washi tape in these collections!
The precious little bees and wild daisy cluster are from the mini laser cuts.

Thanks for visiting.
Have a wonderful & blessed day!
