Lily's 2025 Birthday Card

Lily is the Granddaughter of my BFF.
In a way, I'm her Grandmother too.
We will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow during Sunday lunch.
Lily's turning 17 on the 23rd.
She's such a respectful and sweet girl.
I adore & love her.

I made her a CAS (clean & simple) card.
Lily's favorite color is pink.
I've always loved navy blue (indigo) with pink, so that's the colors I used.

Have a blessed week ahead!
Thanks for visiting,
Lisa

Mandala Style Mandrill

This mandrill really caught my eyes.
Coloring it was so much fun.
The blue I used is such a beautiful color!
I'll probably use it more often.
I really love purples & blues together.
Purple is my most favorite color, followed by blue,
so I'm happy that they look so good together!

These are the Prismacolor Premier colored pencils I used.

The background is a lavender mini pastel
rubbed on with a wedge makeup sponge.
The lighting for the photographs wasn't the best so it's hard to see.

The "crown" as I like to call it....

Thanks so much for your visit!
Have a blessed day,
Lisa

Don't you just LOVE those eyes 💙

Rocky's 2025 Birthday Card

My dear friend, Rocky, is celebrating her birthday Sept 18th.
Her favorite flower is the Magnolia
and her favorite color is red.

The Louisiana state flower is the magnolia,
which happens to be a beautiful brillant white.
I decided to make the center full of red seeds
due to the flower being colored in virtually all white,
with only the curled up edges in a light cool gray.

This is another hand drawn effort, which took me many times to finalize it,
as drawing is extremely hard for me.

Two opposite corners are adorned with red rhinestones
and the background is a red mini pastel rubbed on with a makeup sponge wedge.

The magnolia word is in a deep red and is raised with foam tape for dimension.

Bright red cardstock was used for the main card.

Lastly, the inside sentiment is corner punched
and tiny red rhinestones glued on each corner flower.

Thanks for viewing Rocky's birthday card!
Very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Rocky.
