Michelle's 2024 Birthday Card

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for my sweet friend,
Michelle's Feb. 5th birthday!

Since February's birthstone is Amethyst,
I chose purple & green for her card this year.

The 49 and Market Color Swatch Lavender is yet another gorgeous collection!
Michelle's card is 6" x 8".
It features a beautiful scene of Iris flowers & butterflies,
to which I added a few pretties.

The shaker is so easy to make.
It's a Tim Holtz clear dimensional dome set on top of a
Happy Birthday circle printed in Curlz MT font.
Creative Embellishments had the perfect size mini frame to fit over the sentiment.
I heat embossed it in a beautiful purple that has a gold shimmer.
Prills are what I chose to put inside of this shaker.
Then the bubble is surrounded by copper colored nail head stickers.

NOTE:
Since Prills are round and tend to roll, I found it easier to invert the dome so it's like a bowl; then poured the amount of Prills I wanted.
Removed the adhesive from the dome;
then carefully & evenly placed the cut out circle on top.
The evenness insured that none of the filling would come out.

The floral arrangement consists of small flowers that compliment the paper.
Behind them are acetate leaves from the Color Swatch Lavender collection.

Miniature fancy corner chipboard pieces from The Dusty Attic
are heat embossed in a pretty green.

Saving the best for last....
are ReneaBouquets gorgeous & detailed dragonflies.

Now for the backside of the card.
A personal note is printed in Bradley Hand ITC font.

I decorated the back using rub-ons from
49 and Market's Spectrum/Gardenia collection.
The tickets & stamp come from various 49 and Market collections.
That's what is so wonderful when using 49 and Market....
you can usually find elements to mix and match with from other collections!

Lastly is the box-in-box envelope that I made to house this pretty card.
The printed envelope is 9" long x 1" thick x 5-1/2" wide.
The solid envelope that goes inside of the other one
measures 8-3/4" long x 1" thick x 5-1/2" wide,
just slightly less in length so that it has a good fit.
The cool thing about this envelope is that it
can stand on its own like a book on a shelf!
