Hi everyone! I created a layout with a selfie I took in September.
Because of the inspiration to embrace yourself,
I've entered my creation in the October 2016 Maja Design Moodboard challenge.
The older I get, the more significant it is to embrace myself and the more it makes sense to do so.
Accepting yourself is so important.
The always gorgeous & inspirational Maja design Moodboard
The numbers stenciled in white crackle represent the counting of months and years in my life.
Times have certainly changed quite a bit for me in just the past couple of years.
My responsibilities are not what I expected at this time in my life, but I accept God's plan for me.

Some pretty edge punching and added bling always makes a nice border for a layout.

Using Maja Design papers, I die cut Prima's doily dies 'Parisian Lace' to form a back drop for my photo.
Then I mounted the photo on a distressed piece and added some Prills in two of the corners.
I mixed together the colors of 'Berry Nice' & 'Express-O Yourself'.
The chipboard pieces used for the title were both prepped with white gesso and then colored with chalk inks.
The Want2Scrap word 'Embrace' is inked in Creamy Brown
with the bottom portion colored in Chestnut Roan for a nice two-tone effect.
The Dusty Attic upper letters used to spell "YOU!" are ink colored in 'Red Magic' and then topped with 'Pink Sky'.
The shirt I'm wearing in the photo is a reddish-rose-melon color. A color that is hard to describe,
but boy was I lucky to have the absolutely perfect mulberry roses from Wild Orchid Crafts to match!
I used the beautiful Spellbinders die 'Romantic Vines' to cut out Maja Design paper
and form a vine to place these pretty tea roses on.
I added a few rose greenery die cuts too.
Adding Dark Chocolate colored Liquid Pearls to the printed flowers
in the Maja Design paper really dressed up the leaves with a little extra pop.

Thanks so much for your visit and have a wonderful day! Lisa : )

Beautiful Lisa! I love this. I love the theme and the sentiment to this page. And I love that you did a pic of you! Not that I don't L-O-V-E seeing Sophie and Miss Gali, too, of course ;) I have had such a busy weekend and week, but you've been in my thoughts! I was so happy to see a new post from you as I love seeing your creations, my friend. Especially that beautiful smile!
ReplyDeleteYour pages always shine. I love the details! The matting for your photo is genius. I love the prills along the edge. The numbers are so fantastic, too, and I always absolutely love those gorgeous die cut leaves and stems! Every time you use them it makes me want to get a die-cutter! Hope all is well on the home-front. Thank you for being YOU!!!! <3
Carrie :)
