Pop, can you see my cookie?

This adorable photo was taken in 1985 when Brianne (my daughter) was 1-1/2 years old.  She had just taken a bite of her cookie and has her mouth wide open with her little tongue hanging out (very hard to see in the photo) to show "Pop" (my father).  LOL!
I chose to go all the way girly pastel!

Isn't this a perfect title for this layout?

Sometimes I love to go back through very old paper collections and other scrap stash that I have.  Scrapping a simple layout without a lot of 'hoopla' is relaxing and fun!  This Prima paper from "The Sasha Paper Collection" is precious!  No other paper in all of my stash would quite suffice for this photo like this one did, so.....since this is not heavy weight paper, I adhered an 11x11 white poster board piece to the back of it for stability.

Besides some of the main page edges, the scallop 3-dot punches became the basis for the page design....

Two main flower arrangements bring focus to the photo.
I absolutely LOVE the multi colored ones from Michael's!

I also made some die cut flowers with the same pink cardstock that's behind the photo.  These cuties are actually the stamen part on the Cheery Lynn Designs Black Eyed Susan strip die.  Made in the same fashion that you would make the stamen for a flower, you simply cut, roll up, glue and fan out the tiny strips with your finger.  They are adorable!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!  Lisa : )

  1. Lovely, as always, Lisa. Your "simple" page has the perfect amount of details that lead your eye right to that darling photo! --I too love those multi-colored flowers I haven't spotted those yet; I haven't had the chance to go craft-store hopping for a while! Great punching, too, btw :)
