If you don't already know, I'm a purple-holic - it's my most favorite color! I certainly had a very relaxing, enjoyable time creating this card! I have decided to keep it for myself, as a helpful reminder that each day is beautiful and to always see "flowers among the weeds" in every day life.
The Maja Design September 2016 Mood Board Challenge almost makes me drool - LOL!
Not only for the gorgeous colors, but I LOVE plaid...and those fresh fruits look so plump and yummy!
My very first goal was to select the right photo from my garden flowers!
I settled on these lusciously perfect hyacinths that I photographed in March 2010.
Maja Design's Enjoying Outdoors Tags & Journaling Cards page has
the cutest tags and a plaid card perfect for framing the photo!
the cutest tags and a plaid card perfect for framing the photo!
Using the bottom strip from some of the papers in this beautiful Enjoying Outdoors collection,
I was able to cut out all of the words used on this card!
I made some cross stitching on the front of the card and used the same embroidery threads for the tags. I die cut a precious little doily and also leaves from this beautiful Maja Design collection. Wild Orchid Crafts flowers always enhance any creation!
Here is the front of the card:
The best sentiment of all is inside of the card. Such a wonderful reminder....
"There are always flowers for those who want to see them".
For the inside of the card, I stenciled a floral design with white crackle texture paste and then added a dark lavender piece from the collection. I did some straight stitching around its perimeter. It was the perfect accent needed to help make the sentiment and flowers pop!Thank you so much for visiting and have a great day! Lisa : )

Wow, Lisa, I thought this was so beautiful on Scrapbook.com, but now that I see the details I am just overwhelmed with how beautiful this is! The details are stunning...the inside is just as beautiful as the outside. I love the sentiment inside too! It's a new one to me, and I love it. I try to always be a "see the flowers" person! I am going to keep this as my mantra now!
ReplyDeleteOh this is gorgeous! I love the little cross-stitches. I'm always impressed when people decorate the inside of the card - and I'm doubly impressed that you're keeping it for yourself!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Lisa! Beautiful details! Love how you combined the different coloured threads together and how you staged the main photo with the lace and flowers and the soft edged border!
ReplyDeleteSo beautifully detailed and I can't believe how gorgeous the INSIDE of the card is!!!!! Just divine!
