Beta Fish Mandala

I recently purchased new mandala coloring books!
I'm very pleased with the drawings done by
Greek artist Melpomeni Chatzipanagiotou.

I absolutely LOVED the graceful feel of this beta fish mandala.

Their fins flow beautifully!

I colored the female in pink with aqua fins.

The male is blue with light green fins.

And together they swim in harmony....

Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

Snow Leopard Morph

 Another 2-page spread morph-coloring.
These are interesting because there are always strange creatures
and things that just don't belong.
Using unusual colors makes everything even more interesting.
Coloring is what you make it!

This is page 1

This is page 2

Now for the close ups......
Some things are colored realistically, but some are not.
Would you expect green leaves in the middle of the snow?

A purple bird, swimming Koi fish & red snow flakes

Strange little creatures & and an oddly colored bird

A snow globe, a purple snail & a purple dough boy licking a snow cone

A tigers tail, red & yellow snowflakes, a purple bunny
& all sorts of colorful puff thingys

An odd colored peguin wearing a scarf, purple snow mounds
& the Jack of Hearts playing card

A group of animals...some very colorful

Orange & yellow penguins

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Lisa

Simplistic Mandalas for Practice

Sometimes I just don't feel like coloring anything ultra-detailed.
That's when I turn to very simplistic coloring.
This time, I chose a couple of mandalas in a coloring book I bought many many years ago at Michael's Art Store.

So, I'll share these, not because I think they are awesome,
but just to show that it's ok to not try to make a masterpiece.

Note: "blending" really doesn't work well in these cheap coloring books.  Blending here tends to smear the black lines, as you will see in the sun dial face below.

Have a great day!

The Living Oak

This is how I spent my Saturday!

I love coloring fantasy pages because any color "goes"!
There are many living things, including flowers, growing in this oak....
plus the obvious fact that it's alive (eyes, nose, mouth).

As many of you already know,
purple is my most favorite color in the whole world!
So, I try, if 'feasible' to incorporate it in my colorings.

So here are more close ups of my coloring!

Thanks for stopping by....
and have a wonderful weekend!

Medusa

 This one is self-explanatory!
I rushed a bit in coloring this, so Medusa is 'streaky'.
But, I love the color combination.

I created her eyes to be snake eyes with slits.
I also colored the background in black so the other colors would pop.

Thanks again for stopping by!
Have a great weekend,
Lisa
