Welcome! Today I'm sharing a simplistic layout of my pink & white amaryllis flowers. 

I love to scrapbook my garden flowers and always do my best to focus on the photos. 

The larger photo taken 3-27-16 (Easter Sunday) is an amaryllis that is ready to spread out and bloom! 

The smaller photo is the same amaryllis taken 3 days later when it opened up. 

A beautiful fully bloomed one seems to be 'welcoming it to the world'.

I was completely elated with the Blue Fern Studios Blush collection "Reminisce" page!  It has stripes just like my amaryllis flowers do!  It has the varying rose & pink tones I needed and it gave me a color palette to work with which included a nice blue-turquoise.  My title sticker letters are a perfect match to this color! I had run out of letters so I improvised....created 2 "n" letters using 'm'; created a "g" using a 'j' and an 'a'.  LOL!

A cute little girl & boy with a rose planter was fussy cut from the BFS Blush collection.

I stenciled with a mixture of Finnabair White Crackle and Lindy's Stamp Gang mica color Ramblin' Rose found in the Magicals set Victorian Bouquet.  These areas were enhanced with some lime colored bling and LSG Starburst color Edelweiss Moss Green. This spray was also randomly splattered all over the entire layout.

I scanned the beautiful butterfly from one of the pages in the same BFS Blush collection.  I printed various sizes for interest.  Most have a foam dot under them and I added wire antennae to the largest one.  Each front wing tip was heavily coated in Cotton Candy colored Stickles.

I seem to forget about a lot of things in my stash, so I decided to pull out the perfect lime green square jeweled brads to fasten the main photo.  I turned the center brads to form diamond shapes and then got the idea to tie on some embroidery thread.  This then lead me to use the pretty silver tone closure.

A simple flower cluster was used to separate the two photos.

Lastly, I have never die cut a photo for a layout, but gave it try on the larger main photo of the soon-to-bloom amaryllis.  I adhered the photo to chipboard also cut with the same baroque die.  I like how it looks! 

I used the same baroque die to cut a couple of papers to go underneath the smaller photo

 and added foam tape for dimension.

Pepper - Then & Now

I recently captured a really nice picture of my sweet little dog, Pepper! 

She was my parent's companion and when Dad passed away in 2011,

she came to live with us where she could be loved and spoiled.

She will be turning 12 years old in August!  WOW how time flies! 

Pepper is a Jack Russell-Rat (Manchester) Terrier mix.  Well, the 'radar ears' give that away big time! LOL!

This layout is loaded with beautiful flowers because Pepper deserves a feminine page since most people think she's a boy (ha!).  She was 2 years old in the photo on the left, so there is a 10-year span of time being shown here. She sure has grayed.  She's a very happy little dog and I'm madly in love with her!

No fancy techniques on this one....just lots of flowers and other embellishments glued on.  However, I am exceptionally happy and proud of how the Want2Scrap custom cut chipboard title "Pepper" came out!  After a gesso-prep, I heat embossed the whole piece with Blue Fern Studios embossing powder Imagine Ink color "Auburn".  Then I added BFS ep Imagine Ink color "Nutmeg" to the bottom of the letters.  To tone it all down, as well as to attempt to coordinate better with the beautiful rose & pink tones in the BFS Serendipity page "Merriment", I re-heated the chipboard and sprinkled on Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder color "Stardust Candy Rose"; and then heated the sprinkled areas to set the color.  Then just a few spots were done in the same way using Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ep color "Shabby Shutters". 

Look at the gorgeous rose shimmer of the LSG color Stardust Candy Rose!

For the Blue Fern Studios Flourish chippie,

I used Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder color "Kaiser Russet Red".  WOW! 

All of the flowers I used are listed in the Product list at the end of the post. 

All were simply kept as they are straight from the package except a couple. 

The Petaloo mauve flower (top of the left photo) was rubbed with Liquid Pearls color "Rose Gold".

To the white English roses I inked just the tops of the petals with ColorBox Fluid Chalk ink color "Amber Clay". 

Here are a few close ups of the flowers on the layout.  The pretty baby pink lilies from Wild Orchid Crafts were given to me by a sweet lady (and friend & my daughter's MIL), Molly Downing.  I didn't have that color so I was so happy to be able to use some of them on my little "P-Baby's" layout :)  Also, I JUST got in a new order from Wild Orchid Crafts and had to add a couple of the pretty heather flowers to this layout!

I love the pretty etched olive green buttons!

The die cut rose leaves make any flower arrangement come alive!

These are the baby blue heather flowers! 

As you can see, a few other embellishments add interest - including dark brown burlap (under each photo), pretty etched buttons in olive color, pretty shiny green beads, bronze colored metal filigree corner pieces, die cut doilies, die cut rose leaves and butterfly & dragonfly stickers.  

The bronze glittery sticker numbers 1 & 2 (for Pepper's age..well almost 12 yrs old) are fastened with a bronze binder clip.  The 'Serendipity' above the numbers was cut from the bottom piece of the paper (where the page name is).  What a perfect fit in the printed rectangle box!
