A "Just Because" Card

I pulled out my left-over stash of
 Mintay's "Birdsong" collection.
I dressed it up as a "Just Because" card
for a dear, sweet friend of mine.

A few embellisments and it's all done!

Thanks for viewing!
Have a very blessed day,
Lisa

Always remember if you don't plan to donate or give away your paper stash,
hold on to it to make cards/tags/etc. for future use.
The papers are still pretty in my opinion.

Patty's 2023 Birthday Card

I made a birthday card for a very sweet friend
that I've gotten to know really well through social media and beyond.

She's a very lovely Christian woman that
I find to be very classy and elegant.
So, keeping that in mind,
I chose a very classy elegant paper collection to make her card!
This is Mintay's "Dear Diary" collection by Karola.
It reminds me so much of my friend, Patty.

Colors of blush, peach, browns and very light greens
in this collection, really draw you in completely!
The bird is absolutely adorable and the books speak to what Patty loves.

The slimline card & envelope are both just so pretty!
I love adding either rhinestones or, in this case,
pearls, in random places to make a card really feminine.

The shaker is made from 3 layers of Creative Embellishments chipboard frames.
The shaker mix is a combination of many things......
they are listed in the products list at the end.

The inside of the card is precious!
I just LOVE that cute little bird!
She's 'everywhere' in this collection.

Punching the corners made these pieces more feminine.

I chose the English font for Patty's birthday sentiment, as well as the
Happy Birthday inside of the shaker on the front of the card.
I find the English font to be very elegant, of which Patty is.

Isn't it a beautiful scene when the card is fully opened
to reveal the front & the backside together?

Thank you for viewing sweet Patty's card!
She is such a deserving person to be recognized on her birthday!

Have a very blessed day,
Lisa >^..^<

Card during COVID-19 for Diana

As I continue to make cards for my dear friends,
to let them know how much I cherish our friendship,
I've now completed Diana's card!

This is a 6x6 card that I made unembellished a while back.
I thought it was pretty for Diana.

I created the shaker by stacking & adhering together
thin cardboard & brown foam pieces
that are die cut into 3" diameter rings.
I made the shaker mix with hand picked seed beads & sequins.
Look how adorable the clear butterflies are!
They reflect colors from around them.

Hot glue was applied to adhere the teal & white twine around the shaker.

A cute "HELLO!" sticker was made by computer printing the word and die cutting it with an oval die; then adding dimension with foam tape underneath.
I love making my own little sentiments this way!

On the left, inside the card, I placed one of the card cut-outs in this collection.
The other side has enough room for a personal note to Diana.
Diana's note is blurred for privacy.

Thanks for looking at Diana's card.
Stay safe by practicing social distancing!

Time to start on my next friend's card!
