I just couldn't WAIT to create with the newest paper collection
from 49 and Market!!!!
It's the Vintage Artistry Moonlit Garden by Katie Pertiet
and it does not disappoint!
What a GORGEOUS collection!
I made my dear friend, Fran, a large 5" x 8-3/4" birthday card
and a 5-1/2" x 9" envelope to house it in.
I wanted the whole printed 'scene' to showcase the card,
so that's why it's not a standard size.
In my opinion, the beauty of this collection puts this card & envelope
over the top and I feel they are my most favorite created combos!
I made this beautiful envelope as an open top box-style (to accommodate the thickness of the flowers on the card) and lined the edges with 49 and Market's white lacey trim, tying a knotted bow at the top for easy hanging.
My friend, Fran, loves to hang these types of envelopes in her craft area.
I've only seen these used 'plainly', not to say someone hasn't done what I did which is to dress them up by using them as flower holders.
then filling the tops and quickly placing the floral elements,
made a cute 3-tube arrangement!
Of course, 49 and Market flowers & seed pods were used.
I cut leafy dies to go behind the florals.
I chose to use the one that says "Celebrate This" and put a cute butterfly on it.
Below it, as though it's 'pointing' in that direction,
I colored in jet black archival ink teeny tiny letters by Dusty Attic
to of course spell out "Your Birthday!"
Really look at how GORGEOUS the printed paper is for this envelope!
O-M-G!
The beauty of this collection is UNREAL!
Now you can understand why I made the card 8-3/4" long!
I HAD to capture the birds, as well as the flowering plant above them.
49 and Market flowers made a beautiful arrangement!
Thanks to the incredibly stunning Moonlit Garden collection,
there are a number of gorgeous elements that I utilized.
Check out this stunningly detailed B&W furry antennae moth!
She is laid on top of a color wash rub-on!
Check out the gorgeous colors in the heat embossed chipboard to the left!! WOWWWWW!
starting first with it opened up side by side with the beautiful envelope.
Inside the card I used postage stamp washi tape & laser cut elements on the left side and Rub-ons on the right side, which are the olivey-green splat
in the top right corner and the colored rectangles at the bottom.
YUMMMY!
the inside sentiment to my sweet friend.
I've used it only one other time many years ago
so I'm really happy that I chose it for her card.
Monotype Corsiva is my choice for Fran's card.
It's one of my very top favorite fonts!
so these are the ones I chose to put on her card.
Notice the gorgeous laser cut elements too!
Flowers, dragonflies, birds on a branch & a butterfly...
all made a beautiful scene on the left inside of the card.
Thanks for stopping by to view Fran's beautiful birthday card & envelope!
What an incredibly gorgeous paper collection
with all of its stunning added elements!!!
49 and Market has truly out done themselves with this collection!
A VERY Happy Birthday to Fran!
and may you all have a very blessed day!
