Spring Parade

Welcome!  Today I'm sharing a pretty Spring page using the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios paper collection
"Spring Parade", which happens to be the title for my layout!
My pink & white glorious amaryllis flowers that are in The Pink Garden in my backyard really look like they are in a Spring Parade since they bloomed at the same time next to each other all in a row!

The backside of the May Vignettes page was astonishingly perfect in both color and design print;
very fitting for this photo!
As you can see, I layered two sizes of the same photo to create quite an awesome look!

I really love the edging on this page. It reminds me of washi tape.
This inspired me to put a couple of pieces of pretty washi tape along the edge : ).
Also very light pink pearls were strategically placed on the printed design of the paper.
They add a soft, feminine feel.

Small flower arrangements didn't take away from the flower photo.

Subtle stenciling using The Dusty Attic Bedazzled stencil and Finnabair artExtravagance white crackle
helped to add a bit of interest to the pattern design.
Tiny pastel green pearls were added to the stencil pattern to bring it out a bit more.
I love the coordination of patterns in the paper, stencil & shape of the amaryllis flowers!

I created symmetrical designs for each corresponding diagonal corner.
First, I used one of the Blue Fern Studios chipboards "Classic Ornaments" that I cut in half.
Each of the two pieces reminded me of a flower about to bloom!
These were heat embossed with BFS Imagine Ink color Pink Peppermint
and then adorned with a 2-toned tiny yellow rose.

The other two corners were punched and then a mix of prills was adhered with matte gel.
I used these color names: Ribbit, Cannot Tell a Lilac & Hot Mama - all from the Bright Ideas prills set.
This was finished off with pretty purple bling and beautiful coordinating tiny roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The focal point of the layout is the center, where the photo and it's embellishments are placed.
I wanted the photo to really stand out so I chose to use Blue Fern Studios fabulous Chesterville Shelf chipboard that was just perfect for this layout theme.
I cut the chipboard in half so I could use the top piece on another layout in the future : ).
The lattice work was embossed in bright glossy white and the flourish design in BFS Imagine Ink color Frozen
It's so shimmery and gorgeous!

Thanks so much for your wonderful visit and have a great weekend!

Lisa : )

  2. What a lovely flower, and beautiful layout! We found our first violet here...and the tulips are sprouting at last, though the magnolias are in glorious bloom, but we have nothing like that yet! I love all your little details...the little flower cluster in the corner with the matching prills!! SO cute!! And the grass stems...they look like they were made for your photo! Love how the stenciling picks up the pattern in the paper, too. Perfect!!
