Little Queenie

Aha!  Bet you thought this would be a Miss Gali or Lucy layout!  LOL!  Not this time......

I saved this adorable photo from Pinterest quite a long time ago.   Recently I bought some vintage looking crochet lace at Hobby Lobby that is OMG so perfect for this photo!  Along with my recent Petaloo purchase of their new flowers, well....it was just time to scrap this little beauty!
I named this layout Little Queenie because the precious little rabbit has a crown tied on her head!
SWEET!

Pretty punching & stitching with added dainty ultra-soft pastel pink pearls is simply divine!

Next came the stenciling.
I mixed clear crackle with Light Buttermilk colored acrylic paint to use as the medium.  Perfect color!  WOW!

To help accentuate the darker rose color in the rabbit's little dress, as well as her overall vintage look, Petaloo's Antique Mauve, Pink & Ivory/Cream colored flowers blended perfectly.

A lot of times I love using metal in my layouts.
I paired up a floral frame and word-square "Dream" to make a nice little decorative area for some flowers.
I like the look of cornering the word-square instead of centering it in the frame.

I really wanted the vintage crochet lace to makes its own statement, so after pondering quite a while, an idea to hang something pretty came to mind because of how the crown is tied on the rabbit's head.  So, I made jeweled trinkets with pretty pink beads and white pearls.  Cute enough to be fit for little Queenie!   I also found a metal crown charm in my stash that I added a touch of pink embossing to.  The same Ecru colored embroidery thread that was used to do the stitching was also used to tie all of these trinkets at random lengths.  To add a little extra 'dainty', ceramic flowers were placed above each trinket.....and then I couldn't resist putting these cute tiny flowers on each corner of the photo frame too!

Well, that's about it!  The lighting isn't the best in my photos this time. I scrapped this to pass the time during recent days of thunderstorms and lots of rain.  I will probably scrap little Queenie again in the future because she's just so darn cute!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!  Lisa : )
