Here
is the wonderful mood board they provided:
WOW!
I
had so
many inspirations from this mood board!
Here they are:
1. Everything is
so dainty and girly
~ that is the feel I wanted to achieve with my LO.
2. The
white-washed bird cage has such a vintage, shabby chic feel that I LOVE
~ this
is the look & feel that I aimed for in my LO.
3. The lace on
the oh
so
feminine high heeled shoes & the lace-look cut outs in the girls
shirt
~ I used lace
from my wedding gown!
4. There are 3
pictures with butterflies. Butterflies
are a fave of mine
~ had to include butterflies in my LO!
5. Last, but not
least, every single picture in the mood board is sooooo memorable!
~ I hope that my LO is memorable to
those that see it. It is for me, especially
because I used lace & pearls from my wedding gown, plus the gorgeous French
beauty in the photo just captures my attention.
Here
is the result of what I created from these wonderful inspirations:
The
new Bo Bunny collection ‘Madeleine’ has really captured my heart! So, once again I have chosen a page from this
stunningly gorgeous collection! Prima’s
‘Flourish’ stencil is so pretty and
coordinates perfectly with this paper. It
reminds me of lace!
Along
with a few flat back stick-on white pearls placed in the stencil design; I also
intentionally made the stenciling thicker in some areas in hopes of giving it
more of a shabby chic look!
This
B&W photo of a gorgeous French beauty really took my breath away! I colorized her dreamy eyes and shapely lips,
leaving the rest of the photo B&W. I
love it! This is how the title
came to be “Si Belle” which is French for ‘so beautiful’. The
photo is outlined in pearl-lace trim that is heavily sprayed with the
stunningly gorgeous Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst “Bodacious Blush”.
After
my DH agreed with me that it was time to dust off my wedding gown (21 years
hanging in the closet) and make use of it, I decided to use some of the lace
and pearls in this layout design. I really
like the shabby chic look of the flowers from my gown – elegant, with a few frays! I think I did that with my
seam ripper when I was removing it (I don’t sew, so…..self-explanatory! LOL).
Check
out the ‘half’ zipper from my wedding dress right under the photo! It already had lace trim on it; I added a
double beaded strand for even more daintiness.
Another close up of my wedding gown flowers:
The
antique blue mulberry roses & the white berry cluster spray are from Wild Orchid Crafts (United Kingdom). They
really look great grouped together! I
sprayed the roses with my most favorite Lindy’s Stamp Gang Glitz Spritz
“Scintillating Silver” for some added shimmer.
Thanks
so much for stopping by my blog!
Hope
you have a fabulous day! Lisa : )
