Gali's Pretty Pink Toes

I love to create scrapbook pages of my adorable cats,
including parts of their beautiful bodies!

Here's Miss Gali's pretty pink (and very hairy) toes.

Maja Design "Denim & Girls" is perfectly dainty!
I just LOVE this collection with all of its pinks & blues.

First I stenciled Prima's "Finnabair Ornate Lace" randomly on the page.
To the modeling paste, I added a pinch of

Distressing different sized papers with different patterns
really makes a beautiful background for the photo.
The very first piece is raised up by cardboard underneath.

The computer printed title is adhered to the photo with foam tape.
Just below it is Blue Fern Studios retired chipboard "Scalloped Border"
to coordinate with the stenciled lace.
It's heat embossed in Fran-táge "Shabby White".
At the bottom I've tucked in a bottom page strip for added contrast.

Now it's time to decorate with pretty flowers to help showcase Miss Gali's photo.
I used 49 and Market and Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.
Dies of leafy stems in navy blue are cut from papers in the collection.

As always, ReneaBouquets butterflies add that extra something special!

Thanks for dropping by!
Have a wonderful week!
Lisa

Sympathy Card for Donna Anderson's Family

A very special, well-liked lady in the crafting community,
Donna Anderson,
has passed away after a recurrence of colon cancer.

Donna was very upbeat & positive.
She was very thoughtful of others and always generous
with time to make comments on everyone's creations.
She will be deeply missed by many.

I've made a Sympathy Card for her dear family,
especially for her devoted and loving wife, Kerry Gaines,
and for her two daughters,
Michelle Anderson & Ellen Marie Martinez.

The card is simple because I want the butterfly to be the focus.
For me, this butterfly represents Donna, who is now reborn.
I've used Blue Fern Studios beautiful Bird Waltz collection.

The Ephemera in this collection has a butterfly image on a circle piece.
This piece happened to fit perfectly in the Blue Fern Studio "Ornate Frame"!!
I had to cut off a little bit of the frame so it would fit on the 5" x 6-3/4" card.
I also die cut two different sized rings to go under the chipboard frame to help hide the piece of cardboard under the butterfly.
The frame is heat embossed in BFS color "Pink Dust".

The inside of the card is blank,
which will allow me to write a personal note to Donna's family.

Thanks for dropping by.
Please keep Donna & her family in your thoughts and prayers.
