Vicki's Pocket Tag

I've made a tag for my sister

 that has a pocket on the back 

that holds a special card for her.

I chose Blue Fern Studios "Bird Waltz" paper collection.

Such a beautiful collection of muted; blurred images,

as well as very crisp & vivid ones.

I cut ReneaBouquets Beautiful Board "Cathedral Elements" 

to the desired distressed shape.

It's sprayed with Lindy's Starburst color "Whale Watch Blue",

 which happens to be a favorite of mine with its blue-gray color.

A couple of Wild Orchid Crafts flower arrangements and

pretty Want2Scrap baby blue rhinestones are adhered to the piece.

The back of the tag has a pocket to hold a card

for a special thank you note to Vicki.

I added a few Mother of Pearl rhinestones to line the pocket at the top.

Michelle's Birthday Shaker Tag

My sweet friend, Michelle, 

celebrated her birthday on February 5th. 

I decided on the colors of teal & peach.
I created her a 4-1/2" x 7-3/4" tag

with the pretty Mintay collection "Birdsong"
adhered on both sides of sturdy chipboard.

Mint colored pigment ink was applied to the edges; 

then the primary focus was to create a shaker. 

After cutting a 2-3/4" diameter background, 

rings in 3-1/2" diameter were also cut.  

These rings are layered over the background piece using foam tape and acetate. 

The foam tape & acetate hold the sequin mix inside.

I chose 28 Lilac Lane premium sequin mixes "Heart of Atlantis", 

which is a beautiful mix of light & dark teals; 

then I hand picked only the flower shaped sequins from the mix "Apricot". 

A pretty white satin-like rope trim is wrapped around the shaker

to hide the foam tape layers from being seen.

This rope trim is also tied off in the tag's hole at the top.

Beautiful ReneaBouquets butterflies "Into the Mystic" just pop!!

The details of these butterflies are truly luscious!

Wild Orchid Crafts "Pretty Flori" flowers in a peach tone were perfect!

The tag is finished with 49 and Market Wishing Bubbles in "Crush" color.

LOVE these epoxy beauties!
