The Eiffel Tower - June 2000

Just a quick & simple layout of the Eiffel Tower during me & Brianne's European tour in June 2000.  It was quite hazy when we were there, so the photos I took in Paris are not crisp & clear.

It was truly awesome to visit this famous world known iron structure that was built in 1889. It is 1,000 feet tall and weighs over 10,000 tons!
Despite the haze, the view of Paris & the Seine River was absolutely breathtaking!

I had bought the DCWV Le Tres Chic paper collection in 2011 with the intent of scrapping our Paris photos.  As you can see I'm just now getting around to doing that - 5 years later! I stenciled a few areas with clear crackle, mixed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist color Buccaneer Bronze. Adding clear bling was in 'honor' of "the city of lights".

I decorated one side of the layout by gluing on a punched strip of paper from the Le Tres Chic collection and then added pink paper roses.

I fussy cut the background for the main photo, including some extra flowers in the collection that I raised up with foam tape.  The small tag is also from this paper collection and was perfect to put the photo that I took of the Eiffel Tower at dusk, as the strobe lights began.

I was able to closely match the color of my shirt with a gorgeous curly wild rose from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Pretty die cut leaves and snippets of lace dressed it up a bit.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!  Lisa : )
