Lucy Blue

Here is a layout of my beautiful Lucy!
I took this photo 8/19/17 with my iphone.
The incandescent lights in our bathroom made the photo look yellowish and Lucy's eyes a much softer blue than they really are.  I had to work on fixing the photo so that it is closer to Lucy's true colors.

I made this layout late in the evening and didn't realize until today that the heart chipboards on
each side of the photo aren't level with one another.  LOLOLOL!
Plus my photograph of this layout is a bit on the angled side. Oh well!  C'est la vie!

I'm completely in awe how close in color this 49 and Market paper is to Lucy's eyes in the photo!!!
WOW!!   It was then that I decided to title this Lucy Blue >^..^<

I was so anxious to use some new Spellbinders dies I recently bought!
I used all four dies on this layout.  I LOVE them!!

**Helpful tips**
Intricate dies like the one shown below will be much easier to remove from your die if you add wax paper in between the die & the paper.
MOST important: always add a piece of cardstock in between the platform & the acrylic cutting pad for a thorough cut.

Staying with Lucy's colors of beige/buff, dark chocolate brown & blue, I created flower clusters.

I FINALLY had the right layout to use this pretty button on!

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!

  1. Beautiful layout and photo of Lucy! Love the flower clusters and the die-cuts! I'll have to resist the temptation to get that Spellbinders die set, lol.

  3. Such a pretty layout for a pretty kitty! Lovely Lucy, she sure is photogenic! Great tips too I will definitely use the waxed paper next time! I need to get my Big Shot unburied...I am a terribly messy scrapper and tend to make crazy piles of stuff on top of my other stuff...C'est la vie!!!!! haha ;)
